Between rides, you’ll explore Quebec City, a historical gem perched above the St. Lawrence River. Its cobblestone streets, European charm, and vibrant French-Canadian culture make it an enchanting destination. ACTIVITY LEVEL
The minimum technical ability required for Quebec City is Intermediate. This trip is suitable if you have been riding consistently for one to two years or more and are keen to improve your riding skills. You can climb and descend in control in mildly steep singletrack with some loose rocks and roots and compact dirt. This trip is a Level 2/6 for fitness. On all days you can choose to ride longer if you wish. The accumulation of multiple days of riding will add up, as it is on all of our trips the fitter you are, the more fun you’ll have.
THE RIDING
You’ll visit five different trail centers on this trip with a mix of trail styles – there is a big emphasis on really fun machine-built trails with berms, rollers and small jumps and some hand-built trails too. Empire 47 is XC-oriented and not technical. The Sentiers du Moulin trail center has excellent granite slab sections that offer some more technical challenges. Le Massif is lift-accessed and offers a long nearly 30 min. descents.
CLIMATE
Summer is beautiful in Quebec City. Although, Old Quebec is often busy with tourists and it can be hot and humid which is when the lakes and rivers are amazing to cool off after riding. Autum is a great time to visit the region with the fall colours peaking from mid-September through early October. Once can expect some rain in the autumn, but excellent conditions for riding.
